      Hello ziglus,

I would say that it’s getting to learn how to use so many different bits of kit. When I first got into the lab at the start of my PhD it was a strange and alien place, but now I know what all the different bits of kit do and where everything is. It feels a bit like my kitchen (except my supervisor shouts at me when I try and eat in the lab)!

Plus, some of the stuff I do is just cool. Like the big laser that I have to align using a night vision scope. Very hard to have a bad day doing that!

      Dave
