Hello again changemyusername (is that the default name or are you just being mysterious?),

To me, the appeal of being a scientist is quite simple, I love learning about the world. I’ve always been fascinated by how things work and now I get paid to find that out!

Inevitably, there are days when work can get a little tedious. Sometimes you have to just churn through samples to make something work for example, and that can get a little boring. These periods never last though, and even on a bad day I don’t find it hard to remember that I’m making a living out of something I love and that cheers me up.

Are you interested in a career in science yourself?

      Dave
