Question: do you enjoy your part in science

At the moment, I’m one of an army of PhD students — we’re not very well paid (for people with real jobs), and we work very, VERY long hours, but yet somehow I find myself loving it — I’m learning a huge amount about how to actually do research, don’t need to worry about money (much), and get upgraded from “Mr” to “Dr” at the end of it. People trust me, and I’m rapidly becoming one of a few world-leading experts in my field. I have almost complete freedom to do whatever I want, and, well, basically, I love it!
