  I’d host it in Oxford! That’s not because I’m being lazy, and I happen to live there, but rather because there’s an awful lot of equipment that I know I could get access to, as well as space in the physics department. The department has a full-time physics outreach officer (Dr Sian Owen), and she’s great at putting on events for both schools and the general public. If this seems an awfully long way from your school, get your teachers to get in touch with her — she often visits schools around the country.
