I’m not sure whether I ever set out to become a scientist. I really enjoy finding out why things happen, and working in a lab has helped me to do this. It’s really pretty exciting when you see a result that answers a question you’ve had for ages. Every time I’ve had to make a decision about what I want to do (after school, after university etc.) I’ve always chosen to do something that means I get to do more lab work to answer some more questions. Maybe at some point I’ll change my mind, but I’m pretty happy about it at the moment.
