• Question: Could this method also be used to discover other diseases? If so then couldn't we develop this to be a broad scan for all known diseases and be able to cure people faster?

      Hi Fizzer167,

In short, I hope the answer is yes!

Hopefully my work will be able to help diagnose a lot of diseases — various diseases of the heart are a good place to start, and I’m working on them at the moment too.

I don’t think we’ll ever really have a ‘disease scan’ for all known diseases, as they’re just too damn many of them. However, MRI as a technology is really damn useful, in many situations, and my technique will hopefully make it more useful in a wider variety of situations, being able to give doctors more and more information about certain diseases, and their responses to therapy.

      Hope that helps,

      — Jack
